Memory Foam

Memory foam is made from polyurethane with additional chemicals add to the viscosity level, which resulted in increased density. Usually, memory foam will be firmer in cooler temperatures and softer in warmer environments.

Memory foam was originally developed by NASA. At that time, it was quite expensive for general uses, but recently, it spreads very quickly due to lowered manufacturing costs. Nowadays, it is commonly used in mattresses pillows and other medical-related uses such as wheelchair seat cushions and hospital bed pillows.

When memory foam is used in mattresses, it makes the mattress denser and the mattress will mould to the shape of the body.
